I'm a history nerd at heart and by trade, who is finally putting her graduate degree in Medieval European History to good use! I've traveled to over 50 countries and counting on my quest to experience as much of the world as I can. By day, I’ve worked in international startups and have had the privilege to travel for work and pleasure. I found myself maxing out the character limits on my Instagram writing all the history I could, thus #historyfactswithdenise was born. I wanted to document my experiences beyond the photos, I wanted to share what I learned, and I wanted others to be as excited about these little pieces of history.
History Travel with Denise is the next evolution of those captions. My focus is on showing you that history is everywhere and can be experienced in every way! It could be as simple as adding a stop on a walk, building a self-guided tour, eating at a restaurant, exploring ruins, or following my guide to some places you wouldn't expect! But don't worry, there will be some traditional ways to enjoy the past through guided tours and museums that are actually worth the crowds.
